-World Series Titles: 1919, 1940, 1975, 1976, 1990

In 1919, the Reds beat the White Sox in a best of nine game series instead of a 7 game series, 5-3. In 1940 they played the Detroit Tigers, and beat them 4-3 in a regular 7 game series. The 1975 World Series was a 4-3 Series against the Red Sox in a close call last inning in the seventh game. The 1976 World Series was a sweep for the Reds winning 4-0 in the Series. The 1990 World Series was also another sweep for the Reds over the Oakland Athletics 4-0.
